MKBHD decided to test the top smartphone voice assistants: Alexa, Siri, Google Assistant, and Bixby.

All these VAs are actually efficient. However, there are those that have the upper hand and those that are lacking.

This is what Marques Brownlee, aka MKBHD, revealed in his latest YouTube video, "The Voice Assistant Battle."

On his official YouTube video, MKBHD said that Alexa, Siri, Google Assistant, and Bixby all performed well when it comes to the basics.

These include answering queries about facts and weather, as well as setting up timers. However, Alexa has the most lacking capabilities.

For example, Amazon's voice assistant can't automatically turn on the selfie camera.

Aside from this, Alexa also doesn't open the Netflix film or movie you want to watch.

"Alexa is clearly the worst, is clearly far behind the others," said MKBHD.While Alexa is the worst-performing smartphone voice assistant, Brownlee claims that Google Assistant is the best VA to date. 

He added that Google Assistant and Siri are both competitive when it comes to speed and providing long-text facts.

However, Siri lacks when it comes to timers and follow-up questions.

Google Assistant Wins

One of the main reasons why Google Assistant won against Apple's Siri is that it can automatically record sounds when asked. 

Siri can't do that. Instead, the iOS voice assistant will just launch or suggest voice recording apps that you can use, as reported by 9To5Mac

Since MKBHD crowned Google Assistant as the top VA for smartphones, you can take advantage of it by using these tricks provided by Gizmodo:

  • Tracking your exercise ("track my run...," "start a bike ride," etc.) 
  • Watching TV ("play...") 
  • Accessing photos ("Show me pictures of...") 
  • Playing podcasts (play the episode from...")
