2. Mystic Pizza (1988)
Next it's time to lighten the mood with one of Julia Roberts first films about three best friends working in a Connecticut pizza parlor. Mystic Pizza is actually a real pizza parlor in Mystic, Connecticut and they serve delicious pizza pies.
3. Good Will Hunting (1997)
Getting back to mathematics and staying in New England, Good Will Hunting is good apples which might just inspire you to make apple pie today too? The film put Matt Damon and Ben Affleck on the map, not to mention score an Academy Award for Robin Williams.
4. Chef (2014)
Swinging on back to amazing grub which will put you in the mood for more than just pies and pizza slices is Jon Favreau's Chef. The movie is a love letter to food as well as a little jab at the Iron Man's director own back & forth relationship with social media. Serve this one up!
5. Codebreaker (2014)
The Oscar winning movie, The Imitation Game, is a great choice but until it is available on Netflix, this documentary on Alan Turing's life is truly fascinating. Codebreaker tells the story of how this great mathematician set in motion the computer age and how his codebreaking helped win World War II. It's perfect for getting the perfect numbers right and watching just how it all came to be under such extraordinary circumstances.
6. Stand By Me (1986)
A group of friends going on an adventure together and exploring life is perfect but the actual scene involving pies might be the hardest one in the film to watch. Having said that, Rob Reiner's Stand By Me a nice addition to your Pi Day queue and hey there Wil Wheaton! Oh and do you think Mighty Mouse could beat up Superman?
7. Proof (2005)
Gwyneth Paltrow and Anthony Hopkins star in Proof, a moving story of a young woman haunted by her math genius father's past. The film is based on the Pulitzer Prize-winning play. Btw, it also has Jake Gyllenhaal.
8. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II (1991)

9. Freakonomics (2013)

Any excuse to watch Helen Mirren is a plus and makes our list for Pi Day. Mix in food with suspense and a side of secret romance to get Peter Greenway's 1989 film with an epic title, The Cook, The Thief, His Wife & Her Lover.
11. I.Q. (1994)
Okay, so this might be the cheesiest movie on our list which sounds like food to us and mix that with a mention of Pi, plus Walter Matheau as Albert Einstein is all WAHOO in I.Q.
12. Cloudy With A Chance Of Meatballs II (2013)
You've had your pie, pizza and cake, now it's time for MEATBALLS! Enjoy this tale for kids and adults, alike that has its hero trying to get control of his machine now producing food-animal hybrids in this sequel, Cloudy With A Chance Of Meatballs II.
13. Like Water For Chocolate (1992)
Chocolate is life and goes well in pie, while discussing pi. Like Water For Chocolate is a love story set in Mexico about a forbidden romance with some amazing cooking scenes that will make your mouth definitely water. ;)
14. Rain Man (1988)
Our final film is a classic pairing Oscar winning Dustin Hoffman with Oscar nominated Tom Cruise in a film about two brothers getting to know each other. Dustin won the Academy Award for playing Raymond Babbitt, a man who can predict statistics and is an excellent driver. Rain Man is an epic tale and will have you in tears by the end, wanting another piece of pie this day of Pi.
