When it comes to No Man's Sky, it's easy to see why so many people are so excited. From what developer Hello Games has revealed, No Man's Sky could be the space-age sandbox of which gamers have been dreaming.

Seamlessly jumping from ground-level to deep space, dogfighting against other ships, exploring uncharted planets ... it all sounds amazing, and from the footage fans have seen, it looks great, too.

The only real issue with No Man's Sky is that Hello Games has been extremely tight-lipped about when fans can actually get their hands on the game. Considering how many high-profile games have been delayed lately, it makes sense that the studio wants to avoid something similar ... but that doesn't make the seemingly endless wait any easier.

Thankfully, fans finally know when they can expect to finally get their hands on No Man's Sky: as part of the publisher's press conference at the Paris Games Week expo, Sony announced that No Man's Sky is scheduled for release in June 2016.

In all honestly, the latest trailer doesn't have all that much in the way of new info: fans have seen the shooting, the exploration and the environments before. There is a bigger focus on the shooting aspect of the game, but again, gamers have seen it all before.

What's more surprising are the hints of a larger story — again, it's not much, but the fact that the trailer has any sort of narration whatsoever is a big deviation from what Hello Games has previously shown.

Regardless of what the trailer actually contains, it's good to know that the game will actually hit store shelves ... even if it's eight months from now.

No Man's Sky is set for release sometime in June 2016.
