Batman: Arkham Knight's PC launch was anything but pretty. Even on the beefiest of systems, Arkham Knight was unplayable - the frame-rate alone was enough for some people to start requesting refunds. What made the whole thing even worse was that the console version was essentially perfect...meaning that PC players had to sit on the sidelines and watch while everyone else played one of the best games of the year.

Finally, after months of waiting, PC gamers are finally getting their shot at Batman: Arkham Knight: earlier today, the game made its way back onto digital store shelves. Not only that, but every single piece of downloadable content (save for console exclusives) has been included - PC players may have had to wait, but at the very least, they're getting the full Arkham Knight experience.

But that's not all: WB Interactive also announced that they'd be giving away free copies of the entire Batman: Arkham library to anyone who purchased or will purchase Arkham Knight before Nov. 16. Batman: Arkham Asylum, Arkham City, Arkham Origins and Arkham Origins: Blackgate will automatically appear in an valid Steam library - expect the games to arrive sometime this December.

For everyone else, the game's October update is now live. Anyone with access to the Season Pass will recieve three new skins, the '60s Batmobile, two new Batmobile tracks and a full series of AR Challenges. All of the new content should appear as soon as you boot up and log in to the game.

While it's great that WB Interactive is doing so much for Arkham Knight's PC re-release, it doesn't make up for the fact that the game shipped in a clearly unplayable state. This sort of 'apology bundle' shouldn't have to exist in the first place - hopefully, WB Interactive's future PC endeavors will work as advertised on Day One.
