The release of the BLU Studio 7.0 LTE on Thursday, Oct. 29 shows that Bold Like Us (BLU) is one of the device makers who know what an affordable, unlocked handset can bring to the table.

The company's experience with these phones led to the release of BLU Energy X and BLU Energy 2 in the previous year. On Thursday, the Miami-based company announced that it will release a new handset that impresses with its generous screen size. A full 7-inch of display real estate is one of the reasons why clients might choose BLU Studio 7.0 LTE as their next phablet.

The specs of the phablet might be another reason for the purchase. Under BLU Studio 7.0 LTE's not-so-tiny hood we find a 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor working at a frequency of 1.2 GHz. Just 1 GB of RAM is provided to back the processing power. The manufacturing company offers the standard handset with a 16 GB storage capacity but this can be expanded with a microSD card.

BLU Studio 7.0 LTE has two cameras. The back-facing one is an 8 MP camera that can shoot HD videos at a resolution of 1080p, while the front-facing unit is a 2 MP snapper that provides narcissistic users with decent selfie quality. Users who have friends in multiple networks or who want to separate work from personal matters may find the dual-SIM capability to be a useful feature.

The Bluetooth 4.0 and 4G LTE open up connectivity options that are standard for more expensive phones. Big carriers T-Mobile and AT&T work with 4G all over the United States.

To keep the massive 7-inch screen going, BLU fitted the handset with a large 3,700 mAh battery and an optimized Android 5.1.1 (Lollipop) OS from the get go.

Speaking of the 7-inch display, its resolution is 1280 x 720p, meaning the quality of visuals promises to be just average. The phone's case comes in four color variants: Midnight Grey, Ceramic White, Navy Blue and Rose Gold.

U.S. clients may want to know that the newest smartphone from BLU can be ordered through Amazon. Currently just the white variant of the BLU Studio 7.0 LTE is in stock and available for purchase for a reduced price of $190.58.

Unlocked handsets are gaining momentum and this year's market proves that their popularity increased significantly. With more and more expensive smartphones entering the ring, many clients shift their attention toward value-for-money devices, which come unlocked and support a variety of carriers. BLU Studio 7.0 LTE is one of the latest devices to cater to this segment.
