In a bid to attract more organizations to sign up for its Android for Work service, Google is giving away a free Nexus 5X smartphone, allowing them to try out a handful of latest updates catered specifically to Google's Marshmallow.

Andrew Toy, the product management director of the service, says the company picked a Nexus phone as it will have access to Google's latest OS and current updates.

One of the functionalities the Mountain View-based company is pushing into its service is the ability to deploy single-use devices in an uncomplicated manner.

In May, developers and businesses already tried the new features during the developer preview, but according to Toy, the company is now being strong in the promotion of the service's new features.

On Nov. 4, the tech titan boasted more than 19,000 organizations are now testing, deploying or using the service. Google, however, did not go into details as to how many of the 19,000 businesses are already using its service.

Android for Work was unveiled in February of this year. However, as early as 2014, Google already made a preview of this program during its I/O developer conference.

Google says it is teaming up with more than 80 partners which will provide support for its Android for Work program.

BlackBerry, for instance, says it will support the service via its new BlackBerry Priv, its very first handset to run on Google's mobile OS. In fact, the company even promised to match the patch schedule of Google's Marshmallow by rolling out scheduled updates every month.

Other Google's partners in this venture include F5, Citrix, Cisco and SAP. A slew of carriers and device manufacturers likewise support Google in this program.

Samsung and Silent Circle, the developer of the Blackphone (a security-centered handset), are also joining the handful of smartphone makers backing up Google's program.

"Android for Work separates business apps from personal apps so you can use your favorite Android device for both work and play," reads the description of the service. "Android for Work balances IT’s need for security with your needs for convenience and simplicity."
