Gaming On-The-Go is a weekly series that explores the mobile gaming industry, as well as uncovering the current trends, with hands-on guides for the latest smartphone and tablet games.

The recent release of Apple TV has us excited to play our favorite mobile games on the big screen. However, even if you prefer to just keep your gaming experience on your smartphones or tablets, we all know that the app stores are constantly adding new content each day. Of course, that means that it might be hard to figure out which titles are really worth exploring.

Luckily, there are a few new games that have already caught my attention this month. Whether you prefer puzzle games, endless runners or RPGs, I rounded up the best apps released in November thus far (along with some that launched last month) for you so that you don't have to waste time searching for your next game addiction and get right into the gameplay.

Here are the mobile games released in November that are worth downloading right now.

November New Releases

The Room Three

Release Date: Nov. 4
Developer: Fireproof Games

Fireproof Games just released the third installment to its popular puzzle game series The Room. To gamers' delight, The Room Three does not disappoint. The game picks up where the previous title left off, as the player is lured to a mansion located on a mysterious remote island. The player must solve puzzles (which can be difficult) to navigate through trials put together by the new villain, called The Craftsman. The puzzle this time around is more hands-on, so you will build and operate things, making a huge improvement from just solving puzzles from a table.

The Room Three is larger than the previous games, featuring more environments, with the ability to go back to Grey Holm to solve even more puzzles that decide your fate. With alternate endings, haunting, atmospheric sounds and cinematic lifelike graphics, this is a game worth playing this month.

The Room Three is available to download for iOS for $4.99 with in-app purchases.

Mavenfall

Release date: Nov. 5
Developer: Blue Tea Games US

Mavenfall is a strategy, role-playing card-collecting battle game that allows gamers to build decks that include 20 different heroes (like Warriors, Mages and Healers), which can then be equipped with different skills and spells. You can battle against real players in the game's multiplayer online mode and iOS users can record themselves using the FaceTime Camera while playing.

However, what will really get you excited is that this mobile game features the iPhone 6s' 3D Touch technology that allows players to see how the cards they select will affect their match outcomes by applying deep pressure when touching the card.

Mavenfall is available to download for free for iOS, with an Android release expected soon.

Blossom Blast Saga

Release Date: Nov. 4
Developer: King.com

King Digital Entertainment, the developers behind Candy Crush Saga, are at it again with its latest mobile game, called Blossom Blast Saga. Much like its popular title, the player must link three or more buds of the same color in order to grow them to create flowers. You must clear all the flowerbeds before you run out of moves. With bright colors and the familiar gameplay, this game will keep you busy for hours as you anticipate the chain reaction flower explosions that occur.

There are 120 levels with different modes that include the linking gameplay mentioned above, along with the Remove the Weeds Mode, Big Bud Mode and Collect Flower Mode.

Blossom Blast Saga is available to download for free with in-app purchases for iOS and Android

November Mobile Game Updates

Call of Duty: Heroes 2.0

Updated: Nov. 5
Developer: Activision Publishing, Inc.

Activision first launched Call of Duty: Heroes, the mobile game based off its popular console franchise, in November of last year. However, this mobile game is still worth playing now, especially since its recent update celebrates the release of Call of Duty: Black Ops 3.

The update features content from the new console title, which includes the ability to battle with new hero characters Reaper and Outride. Players can use killstreaks such as Lightning Strike, Scythe, Sparrow and G.I. Unit, and you can defeat your opponents using Siege Bot. Two new environments, Singapore ruins or Cairo battlegrounds, can also be unlocked.

Other features in the update include an improved Stats System, new event rewards and a revised color scheme.

Call of Duty: Heroes 2.0 is available to download for free for iOS and Android.

October Honorable Mentions Still Worth Downloading

QuickBoy

Release Date: Oct. 7
Developer: Netmarble Games

Okay, so the whole endless runner idea has been played out. This game has zombies in the mix, making it the perfect mobile game to play in between commercial breaks of The Walking Dead.

The game starts with an awesome intro that has a comic book feel that is full of zombies. The gamer plays as Tommy Hawk, a kid looking to become a Quickboy to save his brother, Crave. All the user has to do is tap to move (and sometimes double-tap to jump) and slide to avoid obstacles and enemies, picking up loot and rewards along the way. You can clear a zombie by jumping over them, but if they do grab you, you can tap both the jump and slide buttons to free yourself. You're also given three lives, so if you bump into an obstacle or a walker gets you, you can continue on. This is definitely one of the more entertaining continuous runner titles I've played since there's more going on to break up the monotony, such as saving others, bouncing off of the zombies and using a shield to block these enemies.

Quickboy is available to download for free for iOS and Android.

Beneath The Lighthouse

Release Date: Oct. 29
Developer: Nitrome

While there are countless puzzle games available to download, Beneath The Lighthouse is in a league of its own because it puts a new spin on a classic genre of games.

The player takes on the role of a boy who is searching for his lost grandfather, where, in each level, you have to navigate your way around a circular room. In a twist of events, the player is actually moving the room, not the boy, making sure to avoid any obstacles so he doesn't die. However, don't worry, because you get get three lives and only have to restart the level when all lives are lost.

If that doesn't sound good enough to play, download it for the simple fact that its vibrant colors are hypnotizing and the (mouthless) main character is so adorable.

Beneath The Lighthouse is available to download for free with in-app purchases for iOS and Android.
