Before you’ve even had your morning coffee, Marvel has delivered the goods with a brand new trailer for its upcoming Netflix series, Jessica Jones.

Like all of the footage we’ve seen from the show so far, this one is filled with wall-to-wall moodiness. Krysten Ritter’s Jones isn’t your typical superheroine, with an “S” on her chest and a quip on her tongue. As described in this trailer, she’s hard-drinking and short-fused, and she’s the only thing standing in the way of New York City and the villainous Purple Man (David Tennant), who can control the minds of his victims.

We also see more of the interaction between Jones and Luke Cage (Mike Colter), who are a couple in the comics. Cage will be getting his own Netflix series in the coming months, but for now we’ll have to get our fill of him as the voice of reason as Jones begins to go off the deep end.
