Although Ronda Rousey walked into the Octagon as the heavy favorite (14 to 1) and reigning UFC women's bantamweight champion over the weekend, she left in a daze after being brutally knocked out by Holly Holm.

The pro-boxer, who crossed over into mixed martial arts (MMA), landed left hands at will before ending the match on a vicious kick, which knocked Rousey out.

Equally brutal is the way Holm dispatches Rousey in this Street Fighter edition modification made by Richie Branson. He's the same developer who had Major League Baseball irked last week over his Fallout 4 mod — which included Boston Red Sox slugger David Ortiz wielding a bloody rusty nail-embedded bat in a Beantown wasteland —  so, he has a good track record going as of late.

Well, there's no bat in this mod, but there's plenty of pain to go around. Just like the actual UFC match over the weekend in Australia, this Street Fighter mod has Holm effortlessly landing punches, as Rousey's face continues to take a pounding. Also like the actual bout, this mod ends with Holm knocking Rousey out unconscious with a vicious kick.

By the start of the work week, fight fans continued to make Holm's shocking knockout of Rousey watercooler material, as a majority of the sports world just can't believe the MMA phenom lost the way she did.

If you're Ronda Rousey, lesson learned — don't ever underestimate Holly Holm, whether in the UFC or a video game modification.
