In early June it was reported that Verizon would get the HTC One Mini 2. The carrier has renamed the smartphone to HTC One Remix and will reportedly launch it on July 24.

When HTC launched its latest flagship HTC One M8 in late March, news of its miniature version began to leak. Like last year's HTC One Mini, the HTC One Mini 2 was expected to retain some of its older siblings most popular features. These features included the premium brushed aluminum case, dual-front facing HTC BoomSound stereo speakers, and updated version of HTC Sense 6.

HTC officially unveiled the HTC One Mini 2 in mid May and a few weeks later we reported that the smartphone would be making its debut on Verizon Wireless and would receive a name change in the process. The HTC One Remix promised to offer Verizon customers a very capable smartphone wrapped inside a smaller HTC One M8 (minus the Duo Camera and other expensive specs).

A few weeks ago we reported that the Verizon HTC One Remix had made its way through the FCC for certification, which seemed to imply the smartphone would be released by Verizon in the near future. The time has come and Verizon will reportedly officially launch the HTC One Remix very soon.

The always-reliable evleaks is once again giving us information HTC and Verizon aren't ready to disclose yet. The tipster claims that the HTC One Remix will "finally" launch on Verizon on Thursday, July 24.

The Verizon HTC One Remix will feature a 4.5-inch 1280 x 720 Super LCD2 Corning Gorilla Glass 3 Display with a pixel density of 326 pixels per inch (ppi). The handset will be powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor, Adreno 305 GPU (graphics processing unit), and 1GB of RAM to keep things running smoothly. The device will include 16 GB of internal storage and a microSD expansion slot that will support up to 128 GB microSD cards. It will run Android 4.4.2 KitKat and HTC Sense 6.

The HTC One Remix will boast a 13-megapixel rear camera with autofocus and LED flash and 5-megapixel front facing camera for video chat, selfiies and both cameras can record 1080 Full HD video @30fps. HTC has included a 2,110 mAh battery that provide up to 16 hours of talk time and 556 hours of standby time.

Evleaks hasn't revealed what Verizon customers can expect to pay for the HTC One Remix but if the report is accurate, we'll know all of that on July 24.
