On Supergirl, Kara Zor-El (Melissa Benoist) has a lot on her plate: not only does she have to deal with her demanding boss, Cat Grant (Calista Flockhart), but she also has to save National City from natural disasters and villains as Supergirl.

In this week's episode, it becomes obvious that Kara has trouble juggling all her duties, but it looks like she'll have one more problem to handle next week.

In a promo trailer for next week's episode, Kara goes up against Red Tornado (Iddo Goldberg), a military cyborg that goes rogue after a training exercise with Supergirl. It's up to the superheroine to prevent Red Tornado from whatever evil plans it has for National City.

Meanwhile, Kara still has to deal with her boss calling her "pathetic:" in the clip, Kara snaps and yells at Cat, telling her, "don't talk to me like that!"

Here's the official description for the episode:

"Personal and professional stress get the better of Kara when she goes too far during a training exercise against Red Tornado, a military cyborg commissioned by Lucy Lane's father, General Sam Lane. Also, Cat's tough exterior is shaken by a visit from her judgmental mother, Katherine, and Alex enlists Winn to look into her father's mysterious death."

Red Tornado also appeared in DC Comics in various incarnations.

Of course, Supergirl still has other potentially evil people to handle, including the brilliant inventor Maxwell Lord (Peter Facinelli), who seems to hate Kara and everything she stands for.

"He looks down on all superheroes or any sort of aliens that are interfering with the human race," said Facinelli to Comic Book Resources. "He believes humanity needs to save themselves... When you rely on a superhero too much, what happens when they are not there one day?"

However, that's not to say that Lord is really a villain, at least in a Lex Luthor sort of way, on the series.

"There's a fine line between good and evil. He doesn't purposely do evil acts," said Facinelli. "In his mind, he does things for good. Sometimes you have to do bad things to get there. Even when you are at war, sometimes you have to sacrifice one for the greater good of many. That's where his mindset is. He's not a Lex Luthor, selfishly trying to take over the world. In his righteous mind, he's doing good."

Supergirl airs on CBS on Monday nights.
