LG has revealed that it has no plans of releasing the LG V10 to the Great White North.

Prior to its release, the LG V10 was criticized due to a misguided fan render and a not-so-good teaser. However, when the speculations got cleared after its official debut last month, the V10 piqued people's interest due to its dual front-facing cameras and a well-designed "ticker," a second display for time, date, notifications, weather and so on. It also has good ratings from numerous review outlets. Thus, it's easy to see why consumers would want to get themselves one, especially in the coming holidays.

However, after getting probed by an interested consumer about the status of the handset's release in Canada, LG said it has no plans of releasing the V10 to the Canadian market.

"LG are you going to update the status of when the V10 is coming to Canada, before xmas," asks Jason Schabler through LG Electronics Canada's Facebook Page.

"Unfortunately, there aren't any plans to bring the V10 to Canada," Anna from LG Canada's social media team responds. "We encourage you to check out some of other amazing phones, like our flagship LG G4."

Although the 5.7-inch LG V10 and 5.5-inch G4 share the same SoC, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 808, the V10 has more RAM at 4 GB and has a bigger internal storage capacity at 64 GB compared to the G4's native 3 GB RAM and 32 GB on-board storage. Note that both have microSD slots for storage expansion, the same battery capacity at 3,000 mAh and 2,560 x 1,440 native resolution, along with their 16 MP main snappers.

However, the G4 is lacking the V10's fingerprint scanner and it's unique ticker display. Moreover, while the G4 has an 8 MP front-facing camera, the V10 has its dual 5 MP. Both get shipped with Android Lollipop on board.
