Lenovo has taken the wraps off new models of its ThinkPad P series, including the ThinkPad P40 Yoga, a 2-in-1 workstation geared to take on Microsoft Surface Book.

This new Lenovo device is specifically built to provide a good sketching experience for creative professionals and digital artists.

The P40 Yoga comes packed with a Wacom ES digitizer boasting 2,048 levels of pressure sensitivity. It works in tandem with the ThinkPad Pen Pro rechargeable stylus, which promises to let illustrators sketch their designs directly into the device's screen. In fact, it is said to simulate the "pen to paper" feel so the users can carry out their tasks in a precise manner.

Featuring a 2,560 x 1,440 display, this laptop houses a sixth-generation Intel Core i7 processor, Nvidia Quadro M500M professional graphics, ISV certification, 512 GB SSD and 16 GB of RAM. These specs make the 2-in-1 device speedy enough to manage GPU-heavy or 3D modelling tasks.

What's more, this device, which rocks a 360-degree rotating display, boasts HDMI 1.4, USB 3.0 ports, Ethernet port, Mini DisplayPort 1.2, 4-in-1 SD card reader and a micro SIM slot.

This 3.9 pound-laptop will not arrive until the first quarter of the coming year. It is said to have a price tag of $1,399.

Lenovo also showcased two more workstation options during the Autodesk University 2015 conference held in Las Vegas, the ThinkStation P310 desktop and ThinkPad P50 mobile workstations.

The P310 is priced at $729 while the P50 has a price of $1,299.

Just like the P40, these entry-level workstation products are slated to land in the first quarter of 2016.

The P50 comes with Skylake Core i7 processor, 2,880 x 1,620 resolution and Quadro M500M graphics. This 15.6-inch computer houses a 512 GB SSD, 1 TB HDD and 256 GB PCle SSD.

Meanwhile, the P310 is powered by the Xeon E3-1200 v5, 2.5-inch SATA slot, two 3.5-inch SATA slots and M.2 SSD.

On the back of this desktop workstation's box, users can find a pair of USB 2.0 ports, Ethernet, two DisplayPorts and VGA. On the front, an SD card reader, two USB 3.0 slots and 1394 IEEE Firewire port can be spotted.
