Apple CEO Tim Cook has teamed up with the Cerebral Palsy Foundation for a PSA to remind Apple fans (and even non-Apple fans) to wish everyone "happy holidays" this season, including reaching out to those living with disabilities.

In the video, Cook asks Siri how he — or any old average Joe or Jane — can start a conversation with a person affected by a disability.

"It's easy," Siri replies. "Just say, 'Hi.' "

In an interview with Mashable, the Cerebral Palsy Foundation's CEO Richard Ellenson commented on why the nonprofit picked Cook as its spokesperson, citing Cook's world view and highly developed sense of morality as a touchstone for the campaign, as well as the idea that "inclusion inspires innovation," a phrase he uses in the PSA.

"Frankly, no one has been better able to communicate about how we can express our individuality and also connect with others [than Apple]," relayed Ellenson. "The fact that we've found a truthful moment that resonates with Apple — and with Tim — encourages us to believe that we have a chance to put a dent in the universe for people with disabilities. And, of course, that's what we've set out to do with 'Just Say Hi.' "

According to the nonprofit, cerebral palsy is "the most common physical disability in childhood," affecting 1 in every 323 children in the U.S. and 17 million people on a global level, with no known cure. Apple teamed up with the Cerebral Palsy Foundation back in October of this year.
