2K Studios has launched a companion app that will allow WWE 2K16 players to upload scans of their faces right into the game.

The app, named the WWE 2K16 Creation Studio, is free to download for both Android and iOS devices.

WWE 2K16 gamers have previously been able to import images to the game's Creation Suite, but with the face photo feature of the WWE 2K16 Creation Studio, gamers will be able to take a photo of themselves with their smartphone or select a picture that they already have, and then export it to be used by their in-game character.

In addition, the app's logo capture feature allows gamers to upload images that they take with their smartphone's camera to be used for components such as arena decals, billboards, show logos, tattoos and Championship designs.

The app provides tools to edit images that gamers want to use for WWE 2K16, with functions such as resizing, cropping and adjusting the brightness or contrast of images. The background of an image can also be removed through the erase tool, along with filtering out colored parts of a picture through the color mask tool.

Gamers who upload the images that they want to use to the WWE Community Creations will be able to access the pictures on the console within only seconds, 2K Studios said.

In the instructions that 2K Studios uploaded for the app, it said that before gamers can upload custom face pictures or logo with the app, they would first have to get a valid token. The Tokens can be acquired through the Logo Manager of the WWE Community Creations option in the console or through the app's QR scanner that could be used to scan the game-generated code from the TV screen. Each token will only be active for 20 minutes after generation.

WWE 2K16 was released back in October for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One as the latest installment in the WWE 2K series. The franchise has had a long history of customizable features, with the WWE 2K16 Creation Studio app aimed at enhancing the option for gamers.
