After several leaks and pre-launch teasers, the Yutopia flagship is now officially launched and is exclusively available for purchase at Amazon India.

Manufactured by Yu, a Micromax subsidiary, the Yutopia is touted as "the most powerful phone on the planet." The company supports its claim by revealing a number of interesting features offered by the handset.

According to Yu, the new Yutopia boasts a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor and has a RAM of 4 GB. Internal storage reaches up to 32 GB while the OS is identified as Android 5.1.1 Lollipop-based Cyanogen OS 12.1.

"Cyanogen OS 12.1 gives you an unparalleled control over your smartphone," said Yu. "Customization is the very heart of the Cyanogen experience. More freedom and more choices - from the big picture down to the smallest details. Customize everything."

Other interesting highlights of the 5.2-inch flagship include an IPS display with Quad HD resolution of 2,560 x 1,440; Corning Concore Glass; 3,000 mAh battery that has Quick Charge feature; connectivity options that include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS; 21 MP rear camera with an Exmor RS IMX230 sensor from Sony; 8 MP front camera that has OV8865 BSI-2 sensor and f/2.2 aperture; and a number of sensors such as fingerprint sensor, L-sensor, G-sensor, Hall Sensor, Barometer, Electronic compass and 6-axis Gyroscope.

One of the features that customers should take note of is the handset's aircraft grade aluminum build, something that makes the Yutopia a stronger smartphone compared to the rest.

"Crafted from aircraft grade Aluminium,Yutopia is 90 percent stronger than the polycarbonate/sandpaper heroes of the smartphone world, making it a phone you would not want to mess with," said Yu. "Ground-breaking in every way, Yutopia manages to stay true to Yu's design philosophy by sporting the consistent Saturn Rings, three element key, seamless, ergonomic design and everything inherent to Yu."

Yu said that Yutopia is made of an alloy of aluminum and magnesium which is the same material that is used in airplanes. With a weight that is measured at only 5.61 ounces, the device makes it a handy piece of technology that is convenient to bring anywhere and at any time of the day.

The Yutopia carries a retail price of Rs. 24,999 (around $370). Amazon India is taking pre-orders and will start shipping the handset on Dec. 26. It is currently offered in gray color.
