Microsoft could be working on a new Windows 10 phablet that will come with Qualcomm's Snapdragon 820.

New GFXBench benchmark tests that emerged online show a Windows phone that could be faster than Microsoft's Lumia 950 and its larger sibling, the Lumia 950 XL, both of which Microsoft unwrapped in November last year.

The leaked results say the phone will sport a 6-inch screen with a resolution of 1,440 x 2,560 pixels. The Snapdragon 820 SoC will include an Adreno 530 GPU and a 2.2 GHz quad-core Kyro CPU. In terms of the camera, the phone will feature a 20-megapixel main camera and 12-megapixel front-facing snapper. The phone will also be equipped with 43 GB internal storage.

What strikes this benchmark result as odd, though, is it only lists 1.5 GB of RAM.

Speculation is rife that this purported phablet could be a Lumia device since Microsoft is the only high-end Windows 10 mobile phone maker at the moment, although Acer is looking to challenge that.

HP Falcon

In December last year, a device codenamed "HP Falcon" was spotted in benchmark tests.

According to the leaked info, the phone will also be powered by the Snapdragon 820 chipset. The phone will have a 20-megapixel main camera and 12-megapixel secondary camera, just like what's featured in the Windows phone on the newly leaked benchmark result.

Storage-wise, the HP Falcon is also going to house 43 GB of internal storage.

This phone is listed with a 5.8-inch display and, surprisingly, less than 1 GB of RAM. It is worth pointing out that the codename could be misleading as HP is no longer in the mobile race.

As always in this case, it is smart to take these leaked details with a huge grain of salt.

Other Phones With Snapdragon 820

We earlier reported that the much awaited Xiaomi Mi 5 is set to arrive next month, as confirmed by Xiaomi VP and co-founder Liwan Jiang through his personal Weibo account.

The device is believed to have a launch date set for early February, most likely on Feb. 8.

In the meantime, LeTV unveiled at 2016 CES its Le Max Pro phone, which will also include the highly anticipated chipset from Qualcomm.

The Le Max Pro will also be fitted with Adreno 530 GPU, Kryo CPU cores running at speeds of 2.2 GHz, Android 6.0 Marshmallow, Sense ID fingerprint technology, 4 GB RAM, custom user interface from LeTV and a 21-megapixel camera equipped with OIS.
