In less than a week, Apple will finally be unveiling the iPhone 6. It's still not clear whether or not both the 4.7- and 5.5-inch variants will be revealed in the same event but at least the smaller iPhone 6 is expected to launch soon after. In the meantime, Feld & Volk, a company that does luxury iPhone modifications, has photos of what could be the rear shell of the new iPhone as well some other components.

The first photo was shared by Feld & Volk last month through the company's Instagram page. The rear shell hasn't been completely processed and polished so it appears to have been taken during a stage in the production. But despite the unfinished appearance of the part, it clearly shows what the 4.7-inch iPhone 6 would look like externally.

A new batch of photos was revealed by Feld & Volk as well, highlight distinct features not seen in the earlier photo. This time, a picture focusing on volume button cutouts is seen and it shows slight recession in what could be a design change that would help users avoid accidental volume changes. Recessed volume buttons have been seen as well on pictures of iPad Air "perfect replicas" so it's very possible that the iPhone 6 will feature the same.

Aside from the recessed volume buttons, the rear shell for the new iPhone also comes with an embedded Apple logo, a feature that the company has not used since 2007 when the first iPhone came out. According to Feld & Volk, the logo is made out of scratch-resistant metal, speculating that it could be some Liquidmetal alloy. No proof, however, has been provided to support that claim.

And then there's a photo of an external camera ring. With a diameter of 6.66 mm, the ring is reported to fit the rear camera home on the shell perfectly. Leaked physical mockup and designs have shown that the 5.5-inch version of the iPhone 6 will be having a protruding rear camera much like what the current iPod Touch model has so it is likely that this external camera ring will be for the 4.7.inch variant.

This round of leaked photos from Feld & Volk ends with a long flexible cable, a component that has been seen before. Reports speculate that it could be used for the home button but it is quite long so it is also possible that the cable may be for an upcoming model of the iPad.

Apple is scheduled to unveil the iPhone 6 on Sept. 9.
