We've been keeping up with the DC happenings for the last couple of days, but something managed to fly under the radar. You see, "Machete" actor, Danny Trejo, teased something interesting on Twitter that had us thinking of the possibilities.

Trejo teased an image of Lobo, the crazy DC anti-villain, who flies around the universe on his space motorbike. This is a role that would fit Trejo, just look at the man in his previous films and come back here and tell us he's not perfect, we dare you.

The tweet is of a picture of Lobo holding the head of a bounty he just collected, and yes, it looks great.

Now, it is true that Trejo could just be doing this for fun, but we're hoping it is not. We've never gotten a live action version of Lobo before, aka, The Main Man. He has appeared several times in animation, and that is where our love for this character has festered for all these years.

There's one big problem with Trejo taking on the role of Lobo, though. The actor is 71-years-old, so becoming such an iconic character in the DC Extended Universe might not happen, but you know what? He could definitely attack the role on the small screen, wouldn't that be nice? We agree.

Who Is Lobo?

Lobo is a being of the Czarnian race, and his name stands for "he who devours your entrails and thoroughly enjoys it." He's a mercenary and bounty hunter. He has great strength, speed and capable of healing himself from any form of injury. And yes, Lobo is also immortal, but there's a reason for that.

You see, because Lobo killed his own people, yes, he killed each and every one of them, heaven and hell have both rejected him. He cannot die even if he wanted to. Ultimately, he is stuck on these plains until the end of time, or until heaven or hell decides that enough is enough.

Not much is known of the Czarnian race since Lobo is the last one standing, but it would be interesting to learn more of these people in a live action take on the character.

For those who are unaware, Lobo was designed to be a parody of Wolverine, but turned out to be a popular character among comic book readers. His creator, Keith Giffen, was surprised at how popular Lobo had become because it was not something he was expecting.

Lobo went on to have his own comic book runs in the '90s, and even pops up now and again in the "DC New 52."
