It appears someone has beaten Samsung to the punch in confirming the specs and release date of the Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge. An official brochure for the smartphones has popped up in Spain and reveals specs, features, prices, and release date.

The official launch of the Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge will be on Sunday, but for the last few months, details regarding both smartphones dominated the headlines in the mobile world. Samsung is one of the Android device manufacturers and sellers that has a loyal user base that borders on Apple's iPhone. That's why interest in Korean-based OEM's next-generation smartphones are such a buzz.

Even though the Samsung Galaxy Note 6 isn't expected to launch until later this summer, the reported specs and details of the upcoming phablet have already leaked several months ahead of its official introduction. It now appears that Samsung has just experienced an even bigger leak ahead of the Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge launch.

La Caixa, a large European bank has what appears to be an official partnership with Samsung to sell the new phone models, has sent advertising, pricing offers, and release date information to some of its customers ahead of Samsung's unveiling.

According to the brochure, the Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge will feature a 5.1-inch and 5.5-inch 2,560 x 1,440 pixels Quad HD displays and run Android 6.0 Marshmallow with a new TouchWiz skin. The handsets will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor and include 4 GB of RAM. Internal memory will begin with 32 GB of storage and microSD expansion slot to further increase its space.

The 5.1-inch Samsung Galaxy S7 will pack in a large 3,000 mAh battery, while the larger 5.5-inch Galaxy S7 Edge will boast a 3,600 mAh battery. The brochure also confirms the S7 and S7 Edge will be IP67 certified waterproof, a feature that was loved on the Galaxy S5.

Samsung also appears to follow Apple's iPhone 6s and 6s Plus 3D Touch feature by including a pressure sensitive display on the Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge. The brochure confirms that the Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge will get a release date of March 11.

So how much will the new Samsung flagship phones cost? The sources close to La Caixa also have the info.

"The Samsung Galaxy S7 will cost 700 euros (35 € per month in 20 installments), while the Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge goes up to 800 euros (40 € per month in 20 installments). Both without interest and the possibility of insurance (€ 42.45 monthly payment in this case the S7 and S7 € 47.45 the Edge)."

In U.S. dollars, that would be about $779 and $890, respectively. Apart from the official prices, it also backs up a previous report that the Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge will ship with a free virtual reality headset.

"Both models can be purchased from preform and already in La Caixa, exclusively, since its launch will be on March 11 for all other sales channels. They have available the black and gold colors, and the bank's offer also includes the virtual reality glasses, but in this case we do not know whether they will be the Gear VR or a new model."
