Now we all know what Ser Loras Tyrell has been doing in his "absence" while in the custody of the High Sparrow on "Game of Thrones" season five. Marvel announced that Finn Jones was cast to play Danny Rand or, as most comic book fans know him, Iron Fist, who will have his own show on Netflix and will eventually unite with three others.

That certainly sheds light to Mike Colter's quip about "Iron Fist" being in a basement somewhere when he was interviewed during his stint as Luke Cage in Netflix's "Jessica Jones." Now we know it was the High Sparrow's basement he was in.

Of course it's Cage who knows where Iron Fist has been hiding out all this time. They often teamed up in the comic books as "Power Man and Iron Fist" or "Heroes for Hire" so it's also not surprising that Marvel and Netflix decided that everyone would get a first-look of Jones as Iron Fist in the "Luke Cage" series before bringing them together with Jessica Jones and Daredevil to become part of "The Defenders" miniseries.

Jones may have been cast by Marvel because he perfectly fits the description for Danny Rand but he may have a little trouble in the beginning of the show because of groups who were actively urging Marvel to cast an actor of Asian descent for the part instead. Jones has his work cut out for him and will have to prove that he really is the perfect person for the role before things go smoothly for him. Then again, the issue may never die down since it is rooted in racism.

Jones is a British actor whose face became more recognizable when he played the role of The Knight of Flowers, Ser Loras from House Tyrell. While he seems to be more known as Lord Renly Baratheon's lover and Margaery's brother, he is also a capable knight and fighter who has defeated even Jaime Lannister in a tourney.

Jones' other appearances were mostly in television series, including a stint as Santiago Jones in the two-parter episode of the "Doctor Who" spin-off, "The Sarah Jane Adventures."
