For some adults, the act of coloring is relaxing, almost therapeutic. After all, it's why adult coloring books have become so popular.

If you're one of those people who find coloring to be a stress-free way to kill some time, The Walking Dead coloring book is not for you. As with all things Walking Dead, this upcoming adult coloring book looks both gruesome and stressful. We think you're going to need a whole lot of red crayons.

Insight Editions is publishing a 96-page coloring book based on AMC's hit show later this year, set to include all the familiar locations and characters fans have grown attached to over the years. Here is the official description for the book:

"Featuring fan-favorite characters, including Rick, Daryl, and Michonne; locations like Woodbury, Alexandria, and the prison; and hordes of flesh-chomping walkers, this coloring book offers a wealth of gloriously gory designs to color. Filled with frightening fun, The Walking Dead Coloring Book is the perfect gift for fans of the show."

That sounds exactly like what one might expect from a Walking Dead coloring book. Zombies? Check. Gore? Check. Rick, Daryl and Michonne? Check. We just hope there are plenty of Carl pages. That kid is seriously messed up.

So, if you've ever wanted to imagine Rick killing walkers with paintball guns or pretend that the undead actually have rainbow-colored blood, you will soon have your chance. If, however, you're more into the whole "realism" thing, you might want to stock up on brown, gray and red-colored pencils. You're going to have a whole lot of zombie flesh, entrails, blood and post-apocalyptic living conditions to bring to life.

This coloring book comes hot on the success of the Game of Thrones coloring book, yet another adult property adapted for the realm of colors. Game of Thrones might actually sound worse as a coloring book than the Walking Dead, given the show's history of sexual content and violence, but the world of Westeros is at least filled with fantastical creatures, massive castles and the flowing gowns of princesses and queens. The Walking Dead has absolutely none of that, but maybe the publisher is hoping that people will just really like coloring bodily fluids?

The Walking Dead Coloring Book is scheduled for release on Sept. 20, 2016. You can preorder on Amazon for $13.81.
