LG G5 fans in Europe are in for some good news, as the handset is expected to go up for preorder on March 18.

We already reported that the LG G5 is going up for preorder on March 18 in the United States via Best Buy, and now, it seems that the same date applies to Europe as well.

The LG G5 actually already went up for preorder in Europe earlier thanks to Amazon, but only in the U.K., and the retailer now lists the device as "currently unavailable." A new report now reveals that LG's latest flagship will go up for preorder in the Netherlands on March 18, and other countries in Europe should get the same option.

Dutch site TechTastic reports that the LG G5 will cost 699 euros in the Netherlands, which would translate to roughly $775. That's definitely not cheap, but the LG G5 does come with top-notch specs and features all around.

As a reminder, the LG G5 comes as a high-end modular smartphone with a sleek design, allowing users to add hardware accessories to upgrade the handset (see image above). Three modular accessories are already official: a camera add-on, an extra battery and a Hi-Fi audio player.

In terms of specifications, the LG G5 sports a 5.3-inch quad-HD display with a resolution of 2560 by 1440 pixels at a density of 554 pixels per inch (ppi). Under the hood, the smartphone rocks a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor paired with 4 GB of RAM.

Other specs include 32 GB of expandable storage, dual rear cameras comprising of a 16 megapixel and 8 megapixel sensor with optical image stabilization (OIS), laser autofocus and other neat features, and a 6 megapixel front shooter.

The handset draws power from a 2,800 mAh battery, while Quick Charge 3.0 support allows for a rapid charge of up to 83 percent in just half an hour.

On the software front, the LG G5 boasts Google's latest Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box.

LG G5 preorders are expected to start shipping on Apr. 8 in the United States, and should ship around the same time in Europe as well. LG has yet to confirm an exact release date for its latest flagship.
