Not tired of reading about Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice news stories? Good, because we've got another one. A new report popped up recently, claiming that the US government will be placing Superman on trial due to the destruction of Metropolis during his fight with Zod. Even citizens of Metropolis are against the Man of Steel.

It's indeed true that in Man of Steel, Superman and Zod's battle in Metropolis caused massive destruction and the loss of countless lives. Still, we must also take into account how much Zod threatened to kill everyone on Earth, so it wouldn't have been possible for Superman to lead him away from Metropolis.

Furthermore, we understand that several citizens believe that if Superman was not on Earth, Zod would have never come to the planet, which places all the blame squarely at Superman's feet. The people want him gone, and some folks within the US government wants him to pay for the loss of lives and destruction.

"A major action scene was shot in July in one of the big studios in Detroit. Without giving too much away... it involves Superman and the United States Capitol building in Washington D.C. Superman will have to answer for what happened at the end of Man of Steel," according to the source. "Half the public blames him for all the death and destruction. If it wasn't for Superman being there, General Zod would have never come to Earth."

It would make perfect sense for the US government and citizens to blame Superman and want him to pay. It would also likely give Lex Luthor all the reasons to make moves to have the Man of Steel killed, and to become President of the United States in future films.

In other Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice related news, actor Scoot McNairy is tipped to play Jimmy Olson, while actress Holly Hunter might play a US senator, though it is not certain if she's against Superman. Amy Adams will reprise her role as Lois Lane, and Laurence Fishburne as Perry White.

Henry Cavill will also be reprising his role as Clark Kent, Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, and Ben Affleck as Bruce Wayne.

Batman v Superman is scheduled to be released on March 25, 2016.
