A new drone video provides a sneak peek of how Apple’s new spaceship-look-alike campus is coming together. Uploaded on YouTube by Matthew Roberts, the video gives viewers the newest close-up at the humongous Apple Campus 2.

The video shows solar panels and roofs of the buildings are starting to go into place.

It likewise shows that the curved glass panels, which are deemed the largest across the globe, are currently being installed on the campus' main building. Reports say that Apple even built custom machines, billed manipulators, to install these glass panels.

There’s even a close-up look at the construction progress of the underground auditorium where upcoming Apple special events are most likely going to be held.

Of course, the progress made on parking structures, Research and Development facility and fitness center can also be seen.

Earlier this month, Apple’s Chief Executive Tim Cook said the new product launch event that time would probably be the last held at the Town Hall on the current campus.

“This is probably the last product introduction in the Town Hall that you’re sitting in today … next year, in 2017, we’re looking forward to moving to our new campus and our new theatre there,” said Cook. Word has it that he is closely monitoring the progress of the Campus 2's construction.

It is poised to be finished by either late 2016 or early 2017, but judging from the looks of it, it seems that the new campus is impressively shaping up ahead of the scheduled completion date. Upon the completion of the 18-acre Campus 2, this is going to house 13,000 employees.

As always, we will keep you posted with regard to the progress of the ongoing construction Apple Campus 2 as soon as updates become available.

In October 2015, a report surfaced saying that Apple could also be building another Apple spaceship campus in Sunnyvale down the road. The spaceship campus was rumored to house the purported electric vehicles of the company.
