British songrwriter and singer Charli XCX has been tapped to voice one of the more adorable and most probably less angry bird in the upcoming animated film, Angry Birds Movie! The film's producer, John Cohen, announced the casting himself on his social media account. He most likely waited for April 2 before he said anything so it doesn't look like an April Fool's joke.

Charli XCX will voice the adorable, orange beanie-wearing turquoise bird named Willow, who does not look angry at all! Of course, we could be mistaken and she could be like the "Hulk" who seems harmless but you wouldn't want to make angry.

The singer will join an already amazing voice cast which include Game of Thrones' Peter Dinklage as Mighty Eagle and Saturday Night Live's Bill Hader as Leonard the bearded pig, Kate Mckinnon as Stella, Maya Rudolph as Matilda and Jason Sudeikis as Red, plus country music superstar-and Gwen Stefani's beau- Blake Shelton as the pig named Earl, among many other talented celebrities.

"The movie takes us to an island populated entirely by happy, flightless birds - or almost entirely. In this paradise, Red, a bird with a temper problem, speedy Chuck, and the volatile Bomb, have always been outsiders. But when the island is visited by mysterious green piggies, it's up to these unlikely outcasts to figure out what the pigs are up to," the synopsis explains.

Sony Pictures Entertainment already released the official theatrical trailer for the animated film on Jan. 26. Much more recently, on March 1, the studio also released the official international trailer, which you can watch below:

Angry Birds Movie is an adaptation of the popular mobile game franchise that requires a player to destroy a structure protecting several green pigs by aiming a slingshot that is loaded with birds, in an effort to retrieve the eggs that the pigs have stolen.

The film adaptation to the highly popular mobile game is directed by Clay Kaytis and Fergal Reilly and is scheduled for release on May 20.
