T-Mobile customers in the U.S. can now listen to more music without consuming their mobile data.

On Tuesday, John Legere, T-Mobile's CEO, announced the expansion of Music Freedom, which will add support for some major streaming services such as ESPN Radio, Amazon Prime Music and more music providers. Legere also announced video-streaming support for Nickelodeon, EPIX, Dailymotion, Spike and more video providers.

T-Mobile launched Music Freedom in 2014, which lets users listen to music from music providers without affecting data allowance. Initially, T-Mobile had only seven music streaming partners but the carrier has added more streamers since the launch of the service. With tens of music streamers on-board T-Mobile customers can listen to their heart content of music.

"Starting today, Amazon Music, Chilltrax, ESPN Radio, OHIO.FM, PreDanz and Uforia now stream free to T-Mobile customers with Music Freedom. Altogether more than 40 services - including the top streaming services and a wide array of niche and regional providers - are part of Music Freedom, covering a full 96% of all music streamed by T-Mobile customers," says T-Mobile.

T-Mobile has been very competitive in the U.S. market to attract more and more subscribers. In March 2013, T-Mobile introduced Un-carrier marketing, which has attracted thousands of mobile device users in the country. Un-carrier offers streamlined plan structure, which drops lengthy contracts and offers handsets at subsidized rates. Over the years the company has also offered incentives to customers for switching to T-Mobile.

In March this year, T-Mobile also partnered with YouTube and Google Play Movies to finally participate in Binge On, a video streaming service where customers do not use their data allowance while streaming videos from participating streamers.

"With Binge On, Simple Choice users on a qualifying plan are FREE to stream unlimited video on your favorite services like YouTube, Netflix, HBO NOW, and many more without using a drop of your high-speed data. Nothing to configure-all automatically applied to your plan," says T-Mobile.

Video and music streaming on mobile devices have been increasing rapidly in the last few years and Binge On and Music Freedom are the carrier's latest weapons to lure more customers to join T-Mobile.
