AT&T, looking to attract more customers to sign up for DirecTV, is offering two-year guaranteed pricing for new subscriptions to the satellite TV service when combined with either new or existing subscriptions such as home Internet or wireless.

AT&T closed its acquisition of DirecTV for $49 billion in July 2015 so it can offer bundles including wireless, home broadband, home phone and video services. However, the deal came at a time when customers are dropping their pay TV subscriptions in favor of video streaming services such as Netflix.

The company is now hoping that the guaranteed prices for surprise-free billing statements will get customers to consider a DirecTV subscription.

The new plan will see customers paying a monthly fee of $50 for their DirecTV subscription, which can be bundled with a home broadband service with speeds of up to 6 Mbps for an additional monthly fee of $30.

The price of the plan will be locked in for two years, with equipment fees covering up to four TV receivers and a Wi-Fi gateway for home broadband already included in the monthly fee.

In addition, AT&T said that customers will be able to enjoy unlimited home broadband if they acquire both services in a single bill, which is a massive improvement compared to the 250 GB monthly data cap offered by most individual home broadband subscriptions.

The company added that it was lowering the price of home voice services down to a monthly fee of $10, also locked for two years, if customers sign up for the service in a bundle with the other two services.

According to AT&T, signing up for all three services of DirecTV's satellite TV and AT&T's wireless and home voice offerings, known in the industry as a triple play subscription, will allow customers to save more than 40 percent.

AT&T has more in store for DirecTV, as the company stated last month that it will be launching three Internet streaming TV services later in the year under the brand. The three services are named DirecTV Now, DirecTV Mobile and DirecTV Preview.
