Vine has announced a new feature in its app, which will allow users to watch all videos on their favorite channels.

Vine developers announced on April 13 the introduction of the "Watch" button, which will give the option to play all Vines on a channel with a simple tap.

"Our latest design introduces a 'Watch' button that lets you kick back and see the story of a channel as Vines automatically play back to back," says Vine. "People love to go through a channel or watch an account from start to finish. You can now do that with just the tap of a button, without having to manually scroll through individual posts."

Prior to the latest upgrade, Vine users had to manually scroll through different videos and select individual Vines to view them. The latest change will make things easier for users who want to view an entire channel.

Vine is not the only company that is investing in videos. Other companies, such as Facebook and Snapchat, are also focusing on the medium since videos are becoming a popular mode of communication. People with mobile devices, such as smartphones and tablets, are inclined to watch videos than see still images or read text.

Vine clips are only 6 seconds long, but they can entertain people, who may want to see more videos from the creator. The latest watch button may encourage content makers to produce more Vines so that people can watch them automatically one after the other.

The Vine app for iOS and Android also includes a way to sort clips: by what's popular, by oldest to newest or by newest to oldest, which makes it easier for viewers to watch Vines based on their personal preference.

Both iOS and Android Vine apps have been uploaded with the new feature. The Vine app for iOS weighs just over 65 MB and is compatible with the iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch running on iOS 8.0 or later.

According to the Google Play Store, the weight and software version compatibility for the Vine app varies depending on device.
