Microsoft's attempts at AI programming have been ... hilarious. When the tech company released an innocent tweeting robot into the lion's den that was Twitter a few weeks back, it was only a matter of hours before the machine had become a Hitler-loving conspiracy theorist who proclaimed Bush did 9/11.

That's the Internet for you, and in that context, it's easy to see why Ultron immediately wanted to destroy all of mankind upon surfing the Web for five minutes. However, Microsoft isn't giving up. They are back with a brand new type of robot for people to fiddle with, and it's pretty fun. Simply named Caption Bot, the AI will attempt (keyword: attempt) to caption any picture you put in front of it. It's as easy as that.

Given how much we and the rest of the Web love Star Wars, we figured seeing what the bot had to say about Star Wars: The Force Awakens was worth a try. After all, if a machine can learn to speak the language of pop culture, then it can truly live among us.

Not that Caption Bot is anywhere near knowing what the heck Star Wars is remotely about. Here are the confusing, hilarious and sometimes almost accurate results.

Let's start with the poster. What does Caption Bot think?

Off to a solid start. Moving on to the beginning of the movie, what does Caption Bot think is going on in the film's opening moments, when Kylo Ren and his Stormtroopers raze a village full of innocent people?

It becomes clear early on that Caption Bot has a bit of a soft spot for fire hydrants. Moving on to Rey's encounter with BB8.

Well, you tried, Caption Bot. Sand, snow, we know it can be hard to tell the difference. This next one should be easy.

Again with the fire hydrants. Look, Caption Bot, we know you are new at this, but just because something is red doesn't mean it's a fire hydrant, OK?

Nailed it. Good job Caption Bot. You aren't as dumb as you look. Time for a real hard one.

Caption Bot isn't wrong, and to be honest, we don't even know what's going on with Supreme Leader Snoke. What does the AI think about the film's most shocking moment?

Caption Bot! We are so proud of you! That's three in a row that you are, on a very basic level, accurate. Let's go ahead and wrap this up.

Hey, at least it's not a fire hydrant.
