Verizon recently confirmed it would be first to launch the HTC 10 in the U.S. The carrier is now offering the smartphone for preorder and is cutting $100 off of the price for a limited time.

Now that all of the biggest Android smartphone makers have launched their 2016 flagship smartphones, consumers have some great options to consider when committing to a particular device. Luckily all the choices share very similar features like Quad HD displays, metal exteriors, 4 GB of RAM, Snapdragon 820 processors but also some distinguishing differences.

The Samsung Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge offer users a choice of a standard flat display or dual-curved edge display, include microSD expansion, and are both waterproof and dustproof.

The LG G5 features a new modular metal design that allows users to easily swap out its battery, which makes it one of the only flagship smartphones to include a removable battery and expandable memory. The company offers additional accessories that slide into the bottom of the smartphone, like a digital camera add-on and Hi-Fi player, and it promises additional ones in the future.

HTC was the last of the big players to unveil its top tier smartphone, the HTC 10. The handset is an evolution of last year's One M9 but now includes a home button with embedded fingerprint scanner and sleek metal chamfered body.

Verizon recently announced that it would be the first U.S. carrier to offer the HTC 10 and opened up preorders on April 29. The carrier is now offering $100 off the HTC 10 when preordering for a limited time.

Verizon has priced the HTC 10 at $0 down and $22.83 instead of $27 for 24 months or $548 retail price for a limited time (normally $648). It's also offering up to $300 when trading in an old smartphone.
