With just a bit more than 200 days to go before Rogue One: A Star Wars Story hits theatres, Lucasfilm has been pretty good at keeping the story and any details about the standalone Star Wars film under wraps.

Unfortunately, but to the delight of some fans, they weren't able to keep all their secrets hidden.

Major spoilers have been leaked because the images that were supposed to be published in the Rogue One: A Star Wars Story: The Official Visual Story Guide book made their way online via Edelweiss, an online search tool for publishers to list their upcoming books.

The Visual Story Guide is produced by Media Lab Books and will be 164 pages long with 130 full-color illustrations.

The book will not be officially published until Jan. 24, 2017, a month after the movie release date, however, the Star Wars fan site, Jedi-Bibliothek, managed to get a hold of the images included in the preview of the book on Edelweiss.

The images have since been removed from both Edelweiss and Jedi-Bibliothek, however, copies of them remain on various websites, with Lucasfilm and Disney scrambling to take them down.

Although we cannot publish the images here, we've taken a peak and we've got some juicy details to share.

Fair warning though, take all the following information with a grain of salt. Lucasfilm has reached out to others who have published the leaked images saying that “a lot of the information isn't even correct.”

We therefore share these unofficial descriptions for entertainment purposes only.

If you prefer not to read any spoilers, have another look instead at the Rogue One teaser trailer here and read no further.

On The Cover

The cover image of the book is a familiar Star Wars group shot that features the cast and new but retro TIE fighters, U-Wings, Rebel Starfighters and some AT-AT's on the side (they are labeled as “AT-ACT” on the bottom of its description and sketch page, according to Making Star Wars.)

Felicity Jones and her comrades look ready to blast into action while an Iron Giant-looking Droid takes center stage on the image. More about him below.

Droid K-250

The new enforcer Droid (played by Alan Tudyk in CGI) looks like he's ready to take on the big guns. He may have been an imperial model, but he is now united with his cohorts in the rogue band of resistance fighters in their mission to steal the Death Star plans and restore hope to the galaxy.

Most of the character descriptions contain filler text with similar wording as above.

New Aliens

The leaked images also show for the first time, two new aliens who are part of the main cast. So far, all we know is that their names are Pao and Bistan and they are both “fierce warriors.”

Jyn Erso

We finally learned the name of Felicity Jones' character in Rogue One when the first teaser for the film was revealed. The book further describes her as “a gifted soldier and warrior.”

The Rogue Band

Others in the team include Captain Cassian Andor (Diego Luna), a Rebel Alliance officer; Baze (Jiang Wen), a freelance assassin; Bodhi Rook (Riz Ahmed), a rebel soldier; and Chirrut (Donnie Yen), a spiritual warrior.

One Of The Bad Guys

There is also an image of imperial officer Krennic, played by Ben Mendelssohn, and described as the military director of the Galactic Empire and must protect it against the rogues.

The Mother Load

Finally, the piece de resistance, an epic douple-page spread image of Darth Vader looming over both the rogue band and the imperial forces is the highlight of the leaked images.

Rogue One: A Star Wars Story: The Official Visual Story Guide is available for preorder on Amazon.

Whether any of these details will hold true remains to be seen. Rogue One: A Star Wars Story will blast into theaters on Dec. 14, 2016.
