We've all laughed at suggested search phrases when using Google to look up something. Google is used to search just about anything, including terms related to certain brands. A new study reveals what the most Googled brands are according to state.

Finance company Direct Capital analyzed Google Trends for the top 200 brands based on per-capita search popularity. They mapped the most popular brands, breaking down which states favor McDonald's over Burger King and Coke over Pepsi.

The data found that vacation states Florida and Hawaii search Disney and Hyatt. Arkansas, the heart of America, commonly searches Walmart, while Target wins the top search spot in Minnesota. Wisconsin, home of Pabst Blue Ribbon, commonly searches for it, while Alaska, the center for oil, searches for BP.

The second most Googled brand in Alaska was the Discovery Channel. Jeep is the second most popular query in Colorado and Jack Daniels whiskey is the second most  searched brand in its home of Tennessee. Stereotypically so, Washington coffee lovers search Starbucks as their second most searched brand.

Nintendo is still popular -- the third most Googled -- in Utah. The Midwest is all about fast food. Tootsie, Doritos and Pringles were the third most popularly Googled brand in the Midwest. Gucci and Coach ranked third most popular brand in the south. Microsoft, Google and Yahoo! were popular on the West Coast.

Google Trends was used to view the history and volume of Google searches for brand searchers in different cities and states across the U.S.
