The Sony Xperia Z3 is the subject of an underwater unboxing video that was developed by a creative team for Carphone Warehouse, a mobile phone retail company in Europe.

The unboxing of the Xperia Z3 was done while both the person and the mobile phone are completely underwater in the bottom of a swimming pool.

The video was made possible by Sony's IP65/68 rating of its Xperia Z3, which is what determines how resistant a device is to both water and dust. The rating given to the Xperia Z3 means that the mobile phone is safe from being infiltrated by dust, as well as being completely protected from being submerged in water.

The rating for the Xperia Z3 allows the smartphone to be submerged under water for up to 1.5 meters. The Xperia Z3 can also take photos while submerged in water for up to 30 minutes.

The person that is unboxing the Xperia Z3 in the video is able to speak and breathe normally due to the submersible head gear that he is wearing. As the person showcases and explains the most interesting features of the smartphone, it can be seen in the video that the cardboard box and instructions manual float away from the person, while the phone's plug, along with the other accessories, remain on the unboxing table. While the box and manual didn't do so well being submerged underwater, the Xperia Z3 did very well.

The person demonstrating the unboxing of the Xperia Z3 was able to turn on the smartphone and switch to its camera mode. He then took a video of the other people in the production team of the underwater unboxing video, along with two pictures. The first picture is that of another person inside the pool, while the other picture is an underwater selfie.

The video is a creative take on the usual unboxing videos that are usually just done on tables. The video also has a good dose of British humor, making it an entertaining video to watch.

The Xperia Z3 is powered up by a quad-core 2.5GHz Snapdragon 801 processor, with 3GB of RAM and the user's choice of either 16GB or 32GB of storage.

The Xperia Z3 has a 2.2MP front-facing camera and a 20.7MP Sony Exmor camera on the back.

The smartphone also comes with support for 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and the Android 4.4.4. KitKat, which is the latest version of the Google's Android mobile operating system.
