Fallout 4 players should mark July 26 on their calendars, when the Fallout 4: Vault-Tec Workshop DLC is said to land on all important ecosystems.

Some gamers might even get a chance to have a sneak peek at the contents of the add-on before anyone else, thanks to Bethesda's beta testing program.

The big news is that Fallout 4: Vault-Tec Workshop will permit wasteland adventurers to craft their own personal vaults to store furniture and insane amounts of loot. The trick is that a smart and fully equipped vault will attract a larger number of inhabitants than an empty steel cave. One important reason to attract inhabitants is so that you can fight off enemies eyeing your vault.

Keep in mind that the dwellers of the vault require specific training pertaining to their skill sets and it is up to the player to recognize their potential and set them in the right direction.

Bethesda's new DLC will put the creativity of gamers to the test, as there will be plenty to experiment with inside the vault. For one thing, having a proper defense force inside the vault will keep it growing and flourishing.

At this year's E3 event, Bethesda touted that Fallout 4: Vault-Tec Workshop will bring a slew of enhancements to the Settlement System. The DLC packs new building types, new props and other useful gizmos to designing your vault.

Gamers who played Fallout Shelter on mobile devices are already accustomed to the time and effort necessary to build a functional vault with a steady crew.

According to the DLC's description and its announcement trailer, Bethesda will throw in another rich piece of content in the form of vault experiments. This means that you can inspire yourself from the previous Fallout installments and see what actually happens if you are running experiments on your inhabitants. We are already imagining some grim scenarios inspired from the dark days of The Sims.

"Like every good Overseer, run Vault-Tec-approved experiments on your dwellers to learn what makes an ideal citizen. Vault-Tec has given you the tools, the rest is up to you!" Bethesda teases.

The gaming company is keeping the lid on the details of the mind games that gamers will be able to play with their vault dwellers, but we are on our toes to find out.

The Fallout 4: Vault-Tec Workshop DLC is set to roll out on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC on July 26 for a price point of $4.99.
