Every Netflix member knows how sad it is to learn the list of titles leaving the platform each month, especially since we are all trying to stay inside in front of our screens to escape the blazing summer sun. However, to make said users feel better, it's only to be able to add new titles to Netflix's library.
From the looks of August's lineup, it seems like a fair enough trade. These new titles include the original film The Little Prince and original series The Get Down, as well as classics like Big Daddy, The Wedding Planner and season 5 of ABC's Once Upon A Time, all of which will become available in August.
On the bright side, at least the streaming platform gives its subscribers a heads-up before a few movies and TV series vanish. In August, it's time to say goodbye to the beloved baseball flick The Sandlot as early as the first of the month, as well as Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles III. Instead of those films, users can stream The Little Rascals, The Big Green and Goosebumps — all of which are great alternatives.
Other movies leaving include: Vampire in Brooklyn, Mr. Peabody & Sherman, Charlie's Angels and Inside Man.
Users will also want to make sure they catch Will Smith in The Pursuit of Happyness and the Freddy Kreuger horror film from the '80s, A Nightmare on Elm Street 2, but at least those will stick around until toward the end of the month.
There are also no TV series leaving, so feel free to continue binge-watching without worries.
