The Kickstarter-funded Pebble smartwatch has hit Amazon and what's more, if Black Friday shoppers purchase the device directly from the maker's website, they get $20 off!

E-retailer Amazon joins the ranks of Best Buy and AT&T, which also retail the smartwatch, apart from Pebble.

The Pebble smartwatch hit the e-retailer on Thursday, November 28, and is available in red and black for $147.99 and $149.99, respectively.

"Pebble is now available for purchase on Amazon... Happy thanksgiving!" announced the company via Twitter.

The Pebble smartwatch is usually available in more hues and is priced at $150. However, thanks to the Black Friday special deal, you can avail of a $20 discount which is only valid on getpebble.com

Pebble was launched at the International CES earlier in January this year and the smartwatch doubles up as a fitness tracker and music player. It also lets users socialize on Facebook and is "customizable," which basically means that users can download watch faces and apps to enhance the device's functionality.

"Pebble can change instantly, thanks to its brilliant, outdoor-readable electronic-paper (e-paper) display. We've designed tons of watchfaces already, with more coming every day. Choose your favourite watchfaces using Pebble's iPhone or Android app. Then as the day progresses, effortlessly switch to the one that matches your mood, activity or outfit," notes the product description.

For the uninitiated, the Pebble smartwatch sports a 1.26-inch screen with e-paper technology, which implies that the screen is visible clearly even under harsh sunlight. The device also packs in a rechargeable battery that is capable of lasting you a week on a single charge. Moreover, the Pebble smartwatch is also waterproof.

The smartwatch is available in five hues: Jet Black, Arctic White, Orange, Grey and Cherry Red. You can order it from here to avail the Black Friday $20 discount.
