LG will launch the first smartphone to ship with Android 7.0 Nougat when it unveils the LG V20 on Sept. 6. A new image of the smartphone, which features a secondary display, has been posted by Evan Blass.

Samsung and LG have put major emphasis on the displays of some of their current flagship smartphones. Samsung turned heads when it unveiled the Galaxy S6 edge at Mobile World Congress in March 2015, since it was the first smartphone to feature a dual-edge curved display. The new screen has been a huge success and is now used on the Galaxy S6 edge+, Galaxy S7 edge and just released Galaxy Note 7. Samsung's edge displays allow users to quickly access favorite apps, shortcuts and more by simply swiping from the right side of the curved display.

LG went in a different direction than Samsung and introduced the LG V10 in 2015, which featured a secondary ticker display above the smartphone's main screen. Users can quickly access notifications, shortcuts to favorite apps and functions, without interrupting the main screen. The company is about to launch the LG V10 successor when it officially introduces the LG V20 at a press event on Sept. 6.

Renders of the LG V20 just leaked, which also confirmed its rear dual camera setup, and now, the always reliable Evan Blass has posted an image of what he claims is the LG V20.

The secondary ticker screen is seen and is located above the main display, which is believed to be a 5.5- to 5.7-inch 2,560 x 1,440 Quad HD display. Like the LG G5, it will reportedly have a modular build that will allow users to swap the bottom of the smartphone out for accessories, including a replaceable battery and camera attachment. Google has already confirmed that the LG V20 will be the first smartphone to ship with its latest version of Android, Android 7.0 Nougat preinstalled.

The LG V20 is expected to be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor and 4 GB of RAM. It will supposedly include 64 GB of internal storage, in addition to a microSD expansion slot. The smartphone's camera capabilities will reportedly consist of a 20-megapixel dual-lens rear camera and 8-megapixel front-facing snapper for video chat and selfies.

A T-Mobile insider recently revealed the carrier will begin taking preorders for the LG V20 on Sept. 14, with an expected official release taking place on Sept. 23. The carrier is also planning on offering some bonuses for customers who preorder and will reportedly price the smartphone at $650 full price.

This certainly won't be the last LG V20 leak ahead of its Sept. 6 event, and once we hear any fresh news, we'll report back to you.
