Instagram has proven to be more than the social site for selfies. While some singles look at Tinder for a match, and some brides plan their fairy tale weddings on Pinterest, one couple proved that love connections can also be made on Instagram.

A couple married on Oct. 18th after meeting each other through Instagram. The couple has been documenting their modern day relationship on the photo sharing app, posting pictures of their engagement and early photos from their days of long-distance.

Denis LaFargue and Elizabeth Wisdom met after LaFargue noticed a photo Wisdom posted back in June 2012 of Oregon's Crater Lake. "I miss this place," he commented, having visited the location the summer before.

The two began following each other and gradually communicated more, leading to phone conversations and a face-to-face date when Wisdom visited LaFargue at his hometown of New Orleans on Oct. 19, 2012.

The couple share a love of art and the outdoors, posting the kind of adorable relationship photos that make you roll your eyes in jealousy.

Documenting their storybook romance virtually, La Fargue proposed during a trip to his soon to be future wife's grandmother's house. Of course they shared a pic of the ring as they held hands.

Wisdom immediately changed her Instagram handle to @ElizabethLaFargue after they married, sharing an artsy photo of the bride and groom in a loving moment out in a field before a setting sun.

But they are not the only couple that fell in love on Instagram. Photographers Bethany Olson and Cory Staudacher met and fell in love on Instagram, also documenting photos of their love story on the app.

"I though[t], dang this guy is talented and cute. So I started following his work," Olson says after seeing an image shared by a friend in 2011.

They too began a virtual courtship across various social media platforms. The friend who connected the two set-up their first meeting at a café in Seattle, where the pair Instagrammed the meeting. However, the "shy couple" didn't hit it off until they randomly ran into each other at a Seattle musical festival in the summer of 2012.

Their first date was on Sept. 12,, and because they lived less than an hour apart, they were able to develop a relationship that existed outside the virtual world.

Staudacher proposed exactly two years after their first date, filming the milestone in this adorably sweet video below.
