The Dell XPS 13 is a fan favorite laptop for a variety of reasons, including its performance and eye-catching, almost bezel-less display.

As proof of the laptop's popularity, instead of releasing a successor, Dell instead decided to roll out an updated version of the XPS 13 last year that featured Intel's seventh-generation Kaby Lake processors, improved the device's battery life, and added a rose gold option.

A leaked listing, however, reveals that Dell has even more plans in store for the XPS 13.

Leaked 2-In-1 Version Of The Dell XPS 13

An image of the XPS 13 2-in-1 was leaked on the official Dell website, which brings innovation to the form factor of the portable computer.

One of the major disadvantages of the XPS 13 compared to its competitors in the market is that it's a conventional laptop, compared to the 2-in-1 build of the HP Spectre x360 and Lenovo's Yoga series. With Dell about to release a 2-in-1 version of the XPS 13, the laptop will now be able to carve an even bigger niche in the portable computer market.

Nothing else can be seen in the XPS 13 2-in-1 page that was discovered by Windows Central, except for the image that shows the updated XPS 13 that can have its Infinity Edge screen fold all the way back to transform it into a tablet.

Dell To Unveil XPS 13 2-In-1 At CES 2017?

There is no information on the release date and price for the XPS 13 2-in-1, though it is expected that it will feature the same specs as the current version of the XPS 13. In addition to the seventh-generation Intel Core processors, the XPS 13 2-in-1 is likely to offer the same memory options of either 4 GB or 8 GB integrated graphics and 128 GB or 256 GB solid state drives.

However, the transition into a 2-in-1 build will necessitate that all models of the device will come with a touchscreen, an option that only came with the higher-end models of the XPS 13. As such, the XPS 2-in-1 will likely have a higher base price compared to the $800 starting price of the current XPS 13.

It is also not known when Dell is planning to officially unveil the XPS 13 2-in-1, but given the timing of the leaked page and the fact that the company usually launches new products at the annual CES, the device could likely be making an appearance at the upcoming CES 2017.
