Lenovo's Yoga Book, a 2-in-1 or a tablet hybrid, caused quite a stir when it was released at the IFA 2016. The company already has a 10.2-inch Yoga Book, and now, it seems that Lenovo will add a 12-inch "Yoga Tablet" to this lineup.

The yet-to-be-announced Lenovo device, the "Yoga YB-Q501F-GG 12.2" Tablet," has been listed quietly on Amazon but is not available for purchase yet.

"Order now and we'll deliver when available. We'll e-mail you with an estimated delivery date as soon as we have more information. Your account will only be charged when we ship the item," notes Amazon.

The Lenovo device is currently listed as "temporarily out of stock" on the Amazon website and is sporting a price tag of $299.99.

The Yoga Book does not have a physical keyboard but a Halo keyboard, which acts as a writing surface for the device. The predictive keyboard is flat and offers an autocorrect support. It has a 1080p display and is available on Android- or Windows-powered variants.

It is speculated that Lenovo intends to release a bigger Yoga Book in 2017, which will run on ChromeOS.

Lenovo Yoga Tablet Specs

The YB-Q501F-GG tablet from Lenovo is an Android model, and the 12.2-inch device has been priced cheaper than the 10.2-inch Yoga Book, which costs $499 for the Android variant. This is quite an oddity and leads one to think that the listing may be an error, since bigger models usually cost more than their smaller versions.

A peek into the specs and features of the unannounced tablet, however, reveals that the price may be due to the not-so-impressive hardware it houses.

The Yoga Tablet is listed as sporting a 12.2-inch HD IPS screen with a resolution of 1,280 x 800 pixels, which is lower than the 10.2-inch version's 1,820 x 1,080 panel. The device will house a quad-core Intel Atom x5 chipset, which will reportedly clock at 2.4 GHz and a paltry 2 GB of RAM.

The device will offer 128 GB of onboard storage, which will be expandable via a microSD card. A listing by a German retailer also shows the same device with 32 GB of flash memory, suggesting that more than one variant of the Yoga Tablet is in the offing.

The device is "super thin and light at 0.43 inches at less than 2.2 pounds making it your ultimate portable companion." It houses a 10,500 mAh battery, which will support 15 hours of usage.

The Yoga Tablet from Lenovo will come preloaded with Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow and will be offered in two hues — Gunmetal Grey and Rose Gold.

Release Date

The Amazon listing does not indicate when the device will become available for purchase. With the MWC 2017 a few weeks away, consumers would be hoping that Lenovo unveils the 12.2-inch Yoga Tablet at the event.
