A resume posted online by a voice actress has potentially leaked the next expansion for digital trading card game Hearthstone.

The information was posted on Reddit, where players have expressed their excitement on the fresh cards that the new expansion may bring to the game.

Lost Secrets Of Un'Goro Leaked

As can be seen in the image uploaded to a thread on the official sub-Reddit of Hearthstone, voice actress Lani Minella listed Hearthstone: Lost Secrets of Un'Goro as one of the projects that she has worked on.

Minella, who has previously voiced Hearthstone cards such as Ancient Shield Bearer, Arathi Weapon Smith, Imp Master, Cult Master, Darkshire Librarian, and Twilight Geomancer, revealed five more cards that she voiced for Lost Secrets of Un'Goro. These cards are Anklesaur, Brontosaurus, Golakka Crawler, Hydra, and Pteradactyl. Aside from Golakka Crawler, these card names might be placeholders, as they are too short, or they could be tokens generated by another card.

Players are expecting the next expansion for Hearthstone to be released in about two months, so the timing is right for Minella to have completed voice acting for Lost Secrets of Un'Goro. Minella has also since removed the references to the expansion in her resume, which increased the likelihood that she was not supposed to mention the expansion's title.

What Will Lost Secrets Of Un'Goro Contain?

It is widely believed that Lost Secrets of Un'Goro will be similar in size with Whispers of the Old Gods, which was released in April 2016 with 134 new cards. The new expansion is also expected to be released in April this year.

The title of the expansion refers to the Un'Goro Crater, which is an area in Blizzard's MMORPG World of Warcraft that is an isolated jungle inside a giant crater. The most prominent residents of the Un'Goro Crater are dinosaurs, which leads to the speculation that the next expansion will feature a prehistoric theme.

Lost Secrets of Un'Goro might contain Beast-related cards, as the dinosaurs that are currently in the game such as King Krush and Bloodfen Raptor are classified as Beasts. The two classes that will benefit the most from Beast-related cards will be the Hunter and the Druid, which is welcome news, as the Hunter class has been very weak since the release of the previous expansion, Mean Streets of Gadgetzan.

Blizzard has not really set any major events within the World of Warcraft universe in the Un'Goro Crater, with no important quests and dungeons, so Lost Secrets of Un'Goro will expand the lore behind the location. Redditor Sylicas, in a reply to the thread that leaked the expansion name, said that he was looking forward to the card version of the Titans, which performed experiments within the Un'Goro Crater to create life.

A Break From The Hearthstone Meta Issue

The leaked title for Hearthstone's next expansion is a welcome break to the issue that has surrounded the current meta of the digital trading card game. The competitive scene is awash with Pirates, Aggro Shaman, and Jade Golems, a fact that players are complaining against but so far has not pushed Blizzard to make any changes.

It will be interesting to see if Lost Secrets of Un'Goro will shake up the meta and once again bring a healthy balance to the digital trading card game.
