LG is just coming off the launch of its 2017 flagship smartphone the LG G6 at Mobile World Congress. Now the company's mobile chief has revealed pricing details for the new handset.

LG Launches LG G6

At MWC 2017, LG presented its brand-new LG G6 smartphone to the world. The device took a more conservative approach to writing its story, as it has dropped the LG G5's once hyped modular build. Developers never built the add-on modules the company had hoped for, so the G6 is now completely solid.

"Over the past years, we focused on differentiating ourselves from rivals. But we have realized that most of premium smartphone users just want an easy and simple device to use," said LG mobile chief, Juno Cho after presenting the LG G6 to the press at Mobile World Congress 2017 in Barcelona.

This time around, LG adopted some of the features of its biggest rivals. For instance, it now features a metal and glass build that's both waterproof and dust resistant. It includes new 13-megapixel dual rear cameras, a microSD expansion slot, and built-in wireless charging (you'll have to bring a compatible charging mat to the equation).

LG G6 Carrier Availability

All four major U.S. carriers — Verizon, AT&T, Sprint, and T-Mobile — have all confirmed that the LG G6 will be released in the coming weeks. Although none of the carriers themselves have nailed down an exact date or pricing information, LG has just revealed how much the G6 will cost when it goes on sale.

LG G6 Pricing Information

LG's mobile chief Juno Cho revealed during an interview that the LG G6 will be priced at 899,800 won or about $796.85. U.S. carriers will offer and promote installment pricing so customers will be able to pay off the device over time without shelling out major cash all at once.

LG G6 Specs And Features

The LG G6 rocks a 5.7-inch 1,440 x 2,880 resolution IPS LCD FullVision display with a pixel density of 564 pixels per inch (ppi), and it's now easier to use one-handed than its predecessor since LG has reduced the bezels at the top and bottom of the display significantly. It's powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 processor and an Adreno 530 GPU, and it runs Android 7.0 Nougat and LG's new UX 6.0 interface, which makes Android easier to use.

The G6 includes 4 GB of RAM, 32 GB of internal storage, and a microSD expansion slot. It uses the aforementioned 13-megapixel dual rear camera setup and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera for selfies and video chat. The G6 packs in a large 3,300 mAh battery that LG promises will provide a full day of battery life.

Once we hear any information on when Verizon, AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile, and other carriers will announce LG G6 details, we'll be sure to report it.
