Starbucks red cups that are released every winter always seems to heat up some controversy. But now the coffee giant is proving its cooler than ever by releasing brand new cups to reflect the sunshine of the new approaching season.

Starbucks announced that for the first time ever it is releasing new colored cups to celebrate the arrival of spring.

Starting on March 16, coffee lovers will be be able to sip on their lattes that are served in the new spring cups. They include three different colors: blue, yellow and green—all in pastel shades.

And seriously these cups are simply perfection. Just think of how good they are going to look on Instagram.

Along with having pastel colors, the cups feature a white dot, with some including hand-drawn springtime designs like an umbrella, sun, or bunny. Customers will notice they do not feature the Starbucks logo. The plain white dots ones could inspire baristas to add their own springtime doodles themselves.

While the cups will be here just in time for Easter, don't get it twisted that they are being released as Easter cups. The Seattle-based company isn't trying to stir the pot on the holiday debate that comes when it changes its cups.

What that said, those who look forward to red cup season will definitely appreciate the colors.

Of course the spring cups are only for hot beverages in tall, grande and vent sizes, and will available in  participating stores in the U.S. and Canada for a limited-time. Starbucks revealed that this means "just for a few days."

Starbucks first released seasonal cups more than 20 years ago with its first holiday cup. In the past, it has offered cups for the fall and summer, but never for the spring.

The new pastel cups could be perfect for ordering Starbucks new spring macchiato drinks, which include the the Coconutmilk Mocha Macchiato and Cinnamon Almondmilk Macchiato. Just make sure to order them hot.

Then again, Starbucks customers can always hop on the new ombre drink trend that includes the Pink Purple Drink and Pink Matcha Drink, which are also ideal for springtime sipping.
