A leaked copy of next week's Best Buy newspaper flyer revealed that customers who preorder the Pixel 2 through the retailer will also get a free Google Home Mini.

A deal that would allow customers to grab Google's latest flagship smartphone and a new version of its smart speaker at a discount will certainly draw interest. The Pixel 2 and Google Home Mini will be announced in an Oct. 4 Google event, which is just around the corner.

Preorder A Pixel 2 From Best Buy, Get A Free Google Home Mini

The leaked newspaper flyer, an image of which was uploaded on the Android subreddit, is for a location in Quebec. The translation of the French text states that when customers preorder the Pixel 2 from Best Buy, they will also receive a Google Home Mini for free upon activating the smartphone at a participating carrier.

The flyer also pegs the value of the Google Home Mini at $80 CAD, which is equivalent to about $64 USD. This price is $15 more expensive than the rumored $49 price of the Amazon Echo Dot challenger, which will also be powered by Google Assistant.

No information on the price of the Pixel 2 was revealed, and it is unclear if the promotion extends to preorders for the Pixel XL 2. It is also currently unknown if the offer of a free Google Home Mini will be available in the United States. There is a high possibility though, as the mini smart speaker would be the perfect bonus to get customers to purchase the Pixel 2.

Google Oct. 4 Event Right Around The Corner

Google is all set to unveil the Pixel 2, Pixel XL 2, and Google Home Mini in its Oct. 4 event, in addition to the Pixelbook and the new Daydream View.

A recent leak on the Pixel 2 and Pixel XL 2 revealed a revamped design and user interface for both smartphones, as well as dual stereo speakers at the front. There were also rumors that Google will be unveiling an Ultra Pixel, though the sources for such claims remain shady.

The Google Home Mini, meanwhile, will be a smaller version of the Google Home as the Amazon Echo Dot is to the Amazon Echo. The Pixelbook will be a revamped version of the Chromebook Pixel that will have a starting price of $1,199, and the new Daydream View virtual reality headsets will feature more durability and a cleaner design but with a $99 price tag that is $20 higher compared to the previous version.
