Wes Anderson is one of the most divisive directors working today. Most of that has to do with his very distinct visual style. If you've seen Moonrise Kingdom or his latest, The Grand Budapest Hotel, you'll know what I'm talking about. So what happens when you mesh Anderson's signature brand of artsy quirkiness with J.J. Abrams' trademark lens flare in the teaser trailer for Star Wars The Force Awakens? Well, just watch the video below:

The short answer for what a Wes Anderson Star Wars trailer looks like is lots of overlayed text. "A galactical motion picture." It is definitely that. Remember that scary sith wielding the new, crossguard lightsaber? He's nothing more than a "Hooded ruffian." Or what about the mythical space woman? And if Wes Anderson were to film the new Star Wars, it looks like the stormtroopers might actually get some character development. They aren't so bad; they even have families. That one stormtrooper wrote his daughter while on his way to fight the rebels and even used the word "love." Bet you thought stormtroopers couldn't love, didn't you?

As humorous as the trailer is, it still doesn't hold a candle to the George Lucas edition. This trailer is George's "true vision," after all.

Let's just count ourselves lucky that Abrams decided to sign on the dotted line for this movie. Although, the thought of Bill Murray and Wes Anderson filming some intergalactic hijinks is intriguing.
