Silent Hills P.T., the playable teaser for the canceled reboot of the Silent Hill film franchise, will soon be available on the PC, thanks to the efforts of fans.

Only PlayStation 4 owners had the chance to enjoy one of the scariest horror games of all time. The fan-made remakes, however, will soon allow PC players to meet Lisa, the infamous ghost of Silent Hills P.T.

Silent Hills P.T. Canceled In 2015

P.T. was initially launched in 2014 as a demo for a PlayStation 4 game by 7780 Studios. After the completion of the game, it was revealed that the studio was fake and that the title of the demo stood for "playable teaser."

The demo turned out to be the first look at Silent Hills, the reboot of the acclaimed Silent Hill series, featuring Norman Reedus from The Walking Dead; Hideo Kojima, the creator of the Metal Gear Solid franchise; esteemed horror director Guillermo del Toro; and legendary horror manga artist Junji Ito.

Silent Hills P.T. had players shivering both in fright of Lisa and in the excitement of what the full Silent Hills game would be like. Unfortunately, that will no longer happen. Konami canceled the game in 2015 amid the dispute and eventual departure of Kojima, and Silent Hills P.T. was later removed from the PlayStation Store.

Silent Hills P.T. PC Remakes

Silent Hills P.T. has come down as one of the best ever horror games despite only being a playable teaser for a canceled project. A pair of projects is now trying to revive the game and bring it to the PC.

The first PC remake of Silent Hills P.T. is titled Corridors by modder SmoggyChips, and it recreates the game in Unreal Engine 4. It is far from perfect as it is still in its alpha stage, but it can already be downloaded and played. There will be a lot of bugs, but it does show potential in providing the experience that was offered by Silent Hills P.T.

The second PC remake is from LinusPixel, a Redditor who extracted assets from Silent Hills P.T. such as textures, animations, and maps and is now trying to stitch them back together using a new engine. A very rough prototype of the project has been uploaded for players to try out.

The two projects look like they are nowhere near completion, but with the hard work of these two individuals and support from fans of Silent Hills P.T., a complete version of the game may be coming to the PC soon.
