It's no secret that T-Mobile CEO John Legere has a knack on trolling his competitors. In the spirit of the holiday season, he decided to attack them further in a promotional video. The video is just one of T-Mobile's several "uncarrier events" which, just like the seven others that were made during the year, were all aimed at attacking its competitors and revealing T-Mobile's services and features which sets it apart from the rest.

Bearing the title "Un-carrier Holiday," the video started by showing all those Christmas decorations which are all T-Mobile-inspired in design. The camera then slowly focuses on Legere. He was seen as sitting on a large armchair while he puffs a pipe. His hands were holding a heavy-looking book. Later on, he was heard reading the words in the book aloud.

"'Twas the holiday season but the carriers had no cheer," says Legere as he started to read. "The un-carrier had them worried, it was us they'd come to fear."

Legere's mention of the word "fear" may be attributed to the battle that it won against AT&T and Verizon on data roaming charges. Barely a week before the video came out, FCC granted T-Mobile's request that the commission come up with a guidance that would determine if industry roaming agreements are reasonable. So far, Sprint supported T-Mobile's claim that both Verizon and AT&T charge artificially high data roaming prices to their smaller competitors. The FCC ruling was of course denounced by the two carriers which even said that the FCC had no reason to interfere.

Legere moved on by describing the things that set T-Mobile apart from the other carriers.

"Our quarter three numbers were posted with care; fastest growth, fastest network, best service, all there," Legere continued.

Since it is a promotional video, it is understandable that Legere was silent about T-Mobile's less than stellar coverage area. He'd rather stress on the strong points while adding a promise to the subscribers.

"And now for a gift, how about 10 gigs for free? And with rolling data, unused gigs, you'll still see."

Perhaps the most interesting part of the video is how Legere mentioned the competition.

"So while AT&T and Verizon cling to contracts and red tape, we'll gladly take their customers who Sprint to escape," he said.

It's not clear if the uncensored version of the video is available. Legere must have been saying expletives which were all censored with the familiar beeping sound. Though he sounded very direct in his comments, he had ended the video with a warm Christmas wish.

"Happy holidays to all, and to all a good night," Legere ended the story.
