Amazon Announces That It Will Distribute Alexa And Echo Products To France

Amazon revealed that it would bring both Alexa and Echo products to another country. Technology enthusiasts will have the opportunity to use them in France.

Amazon In France

The software company's French division announced on June 5 that customers could preorder Amazon Echo, Echo Dot, and Echo Spot. Customers who order either the Amazon Echo or Echo Dot can expect their products to be shipped to them starting on June 13. Meanwhile, Amazon France disclosed that it would begin sending Echo Spot products in July.

All three products will come integrated with Amazon's digital assistant, Alexa. It is expected that the digital assistant will be upgraded to interact with French users. The digital assistant will be available to share news reports, sport game results, and read both Auditable and Kindle audiobooks. It was reported that Amazon sent out an Alexa Skills kit in March to developers to start working on app features.

Deals And Home Features

To commemorate Amazon's arrival in France, it discounted all three of its models. Customers could order Amazon Echo Dots for 29.99 euros ($35), which are typically 59.99 euros ($70). Also, Echo Spots that usually go for 129.99 euros ($152) are on sale for 64.99 euros ($76). Finally, the original Amazon Echo, which frequently goes for 99.99 euros ($118).

All three Amazon products will have the ability to be installed in almost any user's living spaces. Users could program Alexa to do various tasks around their homes. Users could use their voices to have Alexa turn on the lights and Wi-Fi. Also, there is a Routines option that customers could program the digital assistant to help them complete their daily tasks.

"We've built an entirely new experience from the ground up that honors the French language and culture, allowing customers to just ask to get music, weather, news, information, and more-just by asking," said Jorrit Van der Meulen, Amazon vice president.

Other Amazon News

Amazon announced that in September it would add support to Alexa for both its Amazon Music apps for iOS and Android operating systems. Also, the technology company released a hands-free Alexa voice control for its users in both the US and Canada. The feature could be used for both Prime Music and Music Unlimited users.

Amazon Prime members could be qualified to receive 10 percent off when they shopped at Whole Foods Market. Amazon acquired the grocery store chain last year for $13.7 billion, and it is continuing to attract customers by lowing their prices. Several Whole Foods Market locations accept product returns, have Amazon Lockers, and customers can buy both Echo speakers and Fire TV products.
