There have been many theories as to what will take place in the next Avengers film. One popular theory that has taken over the internet is that the Marvel film will include some form of time travel.
New set photos from the fourth film that have been released may confirm this popular fan theory.
Battle Of New York
In 2012, Marvel introduced the world to the Avengers with the first film that showed the heroes unwillingly coming together to save the world. Captain America, Iron Man, Hulk, Black Widow, Hawkeye, and Thor engaged in an epic battle against Thor's misfit brother, Loki, who wanted to subjugate the earth.
During the film, fans may recall the climactic battle that took place in New York City, where the original Avengers defeated Loki and sent him back to Asgard to face judgment.
New photos that have been leaked from the Atlanta Magazine shows pictures of the set from Avengers 4, and fans note the strange similarity between these photos and the battle of New York scene from the first Avengers film.

These and other photos that surfaced back in January seem to support many fans' theories that the fourth film will have some sort of time travel come into play. Other photos that were leaked showed Captain America (Chris Evans) in his original outfit, which he ditched at the end of Captain America: Civil War.
Other theory that fans have suggested will take place in the next film is that after the Avengers defeat Thanos, each of the original members of the team will use it for their own purposes.
The fourth untitled Avengers film will follow the events that transpired in Avengers: Infinity Wars. Infinity Wars showed the Avengers attempting to stop Thanos (Josh Brolin) from obtaining the infinity stones and completing his "destiny" in solving the galaxy's overpopulation problem.
At the end of the film, Thanos successfully collected the infinity stones and eradicated half of the galaxy's population, including half of the Avengers team.
Chris Hemsworth, who portrays the demi-god, Thor, confirmed that the next Avengers film will be more shocking than Infinity Wars. The screenwriters for the Marvel film stated that fourth film will be "distinctly" different than it's predecessor.
The fourth Avengers film will hit theaters on May 3, 2019.
